John Lim is the Founder and CEO of Manor Group. He established the company in 2011 after graduating from Imperial College London. Manor Group made its debut in Thailand with the launch of its flagship hotel, AMANOR Hotel Chiang Mai, in 2015.

Rooted in a service-driven mindset shaped by his formative years in the UK and a deep respect for tradition, John has guided Manor Group’s evolution through strategic diversification and a commitment to sustainable investment. Today, Manor Group’s portfolio includes:

• AMANOR Hotel Chiang Mai, Thailand

• The Edison George Town, Penang, Malaysia

• Shimaya Stays, Kyoto, Japan

• AMANOR Hotel Jozankei, Hokkaido, Japan

Manor Group also owns UNICORN Hospitality, a Bangkok-based hospitality management company with a portfolio of 30 hotels. In addition to owning and managing hospitality assets, John serves as Executive Director of Hacienda Fund, a hospitality fund specialising in hospitality investments.

John is a member of the International Advisory Board of Hoteliers for Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). He is the first Singaporean to hold this position, representing more than 150 hotels across 13 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
