U-Gene has over a decade of experience in business development, communications, and general management, spanning the private and public sectors. For the past eight years, he has been deeply involved in the robotics space through leadership roles in government entities, an SME, and an overseas startup.
As Deputy Director of the National Robotics Programme (NRP), he oversees Industry and Partnerships, with a focus on deploying translational funding to bridge research and commercialisation. He works to strengthen Singapore’s robotics and embodied AI companies, shaping the national robotics landscape to align efforts in applying robotics across strategic sectors.
