Ari Sarker

President, Asia Pacific, Mastercard

Ari Sarker oversees all of Mastercard’s activities in the Asia Pacific region and serves on the company’s global Management Committee. He also leads the identification and management of new equity investments in Asia Pacific, positioning Mastercard as a fintech partner of choice. In addition, he drives inclusive growth initiatives aligned with Mastercard’s financial inclusion goals across Asia’s emerging economies.

Since joining Mastercard in 2011, Ari has held a range of leadership roles across geographies, including co-president of Asia Pacific and head of South Asia, notably including India. He began his Mastercard journey leading network processing for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to Mastercard, Ari spent over 12 years at General Electric in senior roles across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Ari holds an MBA from Cardiff University, and is a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
